OFA Champion of Health Argus

The OFA is pleased to continue recognition of our Champions of Health as we kick off the new year. Our first dog for 2010 is the Dalmatian, Ch. Paisley Nspir'D By Broadway. "Argus" was bred by Carrie Jordan, and is owned by Sue MacMillan and Mark & Ginger Iwaoka.

Argus is an American, Canadian, International and UKC Champion with multiple Best In Show wins. He won the Dalmatian Club of America National Specialty in 2008, and returned in 2009 to win an Award of Merit and Best Stud Dog.

Beyond his outstanding show record, Argus is a true Champion of Health, with a full complement of health screening including OFA Excellent Hips, and normal Thyroid, Eyes, and Hearing. Argus has met the DCA's criteria for CHIC, and also has DNA banked in the CHIC DNA Repository for future health research purposes. As a sire, besides winning the Stud Dog Class at the '09 National, he has sired several champion offspring, which in turn are beginning their health clearances.
